Bluegrass Group of the Year/Americana Song of the Year!

I have always joked that all I want my tombstone to say is "She was an entertainer". . . . . and now I find my band nominated for IMEA Bluegrass Group of the Year for the THIRD year in a row! Wow!
Just the other night I stood in the middle of downtown Portland, Oregon and introduced a song by telling the young and young at heart to never listen to the noise, to follow the dream in their heart, to find a group of like minded friends and to keep at whatever it is that they do until they too find their souls fulfilled.
My like minded friends are three amazing men who work so hard writing songs and constantly searching for the next perfect combination of notes to tell a story that will touch people's hearts and make their feet happy. Off stage we never stop reaching out to folks of all ages to make them feel that they have a place in our magical universe - and like every single member of the IMEA that I've ever met, we all strive to make the world a better place.
Although you'll find us at bluegrass festivals, our main focus is non-bluegrass events as we want to bring the joy of our genre to the whole world - and we've found great success doing just that!
And then there's our fun summer single "Let Her Roll". . . . . We thank the IMEA for the honor of the 2016 Early Honors Bluegrass Song of the Year award and the nomination of Americana Song of the Year. This genre crossing bit of fun has spread across the world as one of those sing and dance along slightly dangerous summer songs that sticks in your head long after the final notes of the Dobro slide have faded away. Be sure to give it a listen at https://www.reverbnation.com/kbpr/song/26027560-let-her-roll
You'll find us on the IMEA ballot at numbers 9 and 10. We appreciate your votes and look forward to seeing you in October!!
